On this cruise, VASCO DA GAMA starts in Rio de Janeiro and sails up the east coast of Brazil to Fortaleza. Brazil in all its glory – immerse yourself in its authentic fl air! After Fortaleza, we leave South America behind us and set sail across the wide expanses of the Atlantic, heading for Africa. Our next stop is Cape Verde (the Republic of Cabo Verde), an archipelago situated some 570 km off the west coast of Africa. Here we visit two of the ten islands where you can follow the trail of the explorer Vasco da Gama. Then we set out for three more relaxing days at sea to reach European soil once again – on the Spanish island of Tenerife. By the time you disembark, your heart and head will be full of unforgettable images and memories!

In addition, there are the impressive colonial houses from the times of sugar cane cultivation, which provide a very special atmosphere in the middle of the metropolis.

As the "City of the Sun," Natal boasts 300 cloudless days a year and an average temperature of 28 degrees in summer and 24 degrees in winter. The historic old town of Ribeira is worth a visit, as is the old fortress "Forte dos Reis Magos", which is the town's landmark. Because of its construction start on Epiphany Day 1598, it is called "Fortress of the Wise". White beaches like in Ponta Negra, desert landscapes, lagoons and small lakes invite around Natal to buggy rides, swimming and snorkeling.
