As we cruise through the endless expanses of the South Pacifi c, the VASCO DA GAMA will take you to some of the most beautiful places in the world. In French Polynesia we visit Moorea, Tahiti’s fascinating “little sister”, and get an authentic feel for the traditional way of life on the island. On Gambier you can relax between glistening lagoons and extinct volcanos. When we arrive at the Pitcairn Islands, you will be amazed at just how diverse a group of islands can be. Stand in awe on Easter Island at the display of around 800 “Moai” statues. One Sunday (not Friday, sadly!) we anchor on the island that served as inspiration for Daniel Defoe’s novel.

Gambian (French Polynesia)

The community of Gambier, consisting of five islands and several uninhabited islets, offers a unique setting. Relax on gorgeous sandy beaches between lagoons and extinct volcanoes.

Adamstown (Pitcairn Islands)

Mooring: 13:30 Casting off: 17:30

The remote Adamstown exudes a solitary beauty. Besides a visit to the island museum, which tells the story of the mutineers of the Bounty and the founders of the place, it is also worth exploring the island. Not far from the settlement you can enjoy a wonderful view of Bounty Bay surrounded by unique flora and fauna.

Ducie Atoll (Pitcairn Islands)

Being all to yourself, only the sound of the waves and sand under your feet - this is the feeling you will experience on Ducie Atoll, because Ducie is not only the southernmost atoll in the world, but also uninhabited. There is no better place to switch off and relax.

Hanga Roa (Chile, Easter Island)

Almost everyone knows about the famous stone statues on Easter Island, but only very few experience the impressive monuments up close. In Hanga Roa you have the opportunity to visit the countless Moai on the island. In addition to the completed moai, which number about 800 today, you should definitely visit Rano Raraku, also called the "Birthplace of the Moai". On its slopes today there are still almost 400 more or less completed Moai. After an exciting exploration around Easter Island, you will have the opportunity to relax by the sea. The beaches on the island are not numerous, but all the more beautiful. Alternatively, you can visit the sea bay Ahu Tongariki, where the largest Polynesian ceremonial site is located.
