The Moscow Metro is a status symbol of Stalin’s, which is why some of the stations are veritable palaces with numerous different-coloured marble stones. Each individual station along the Circle Line is an artwork in itself. Afterwards, you’ll go through the illuminated streets of Moscow to Manegen Square, the memorial complex Poklonnaja Gora and in the Sparrow Hills, from where you have a breathtaking outlook over the city.

Uglich’s eventful history: in 1591, Dmitry, the son of Ivan the Terrible, died in Uglich in unknown circumstances. Initially a wooden church was built to remember him; later it was a stone church, “Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood”. The church from the 17th century is impressive with its decorated windows and star-studded domes. All around the church, you can admire the frescoes, which illustrate, among other things, the creation of the world.
