Look forward to colourful island experiences in the Mediterranean. As you start your journey in Valletta, Malta’s capital, you will instantly feel that North Africa is close at hand. Syracuse in Sicily is an ancient Italian city with archaeological sensations. Your journey takes you further towards the eastern Mediterranean. The city of Chania on the island of Crete has beautiful narrow streets. The white, cube-shaped houses of Santorini in front of the deep blue seashore are world famous. Kuşadası on the Turkish Aegean coast is the perfect starting point for trips to classic ruins such as the Celsus Library in Ephesus. Mykonos, with its typical Cycladic architecture and famous windmills, is also a picturesque sight. Delos in 3D

Not far from Mykonos lies the island of Delos, the mythical birthplace of the Goddess Artemis and God Apollo - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Like Delphi, Delos was a major sanctuary dedicated to Apollo, the Olympian god of prophecy, music, healing and more. Apollo’s sanctuary attracted pilgrims from all over Greece, creating one of the wealthiest and most revered shrines of antiquity. Here you’ll find traces of Aegean civilizations, from the 3rd millennium B.C. to the palaeo-Christian era. The archaeological site is exceptionally extensive and rich, and conveys the image of a great cosmopolitan Mediterranean port. The island's landscape consists solely of ruins systematically excavated since 1872 and a museum. After reaching the island by chartered boat, you’ll discover among the ruins, one of the island’s most spectacular relics, the Avenue of the Lions, where perfect replicas of the 7th century Naxian marble beasts crouch in silent vigilance at the sacred lake where Leto gave birth to her twins. Beyond, a path leads to Mt. Kynthos, where Zeus observed the event. There are many other interesting monuments inside the museum, which you’ll be able to admire during your visit. This tour is aided by the use of Augmented Reality software. Guests will be provided with a tablet each and are able to view the island of Delos as it once was! Augmented reality (AR) combines the camera’s content with a virtual one. In other words it is a mixture of the real-time camera’s video and many different virtual elements. This essentially enables the visitor to simply point the tablet’s camera at various locations of the site and view them in their original form… as they once stood thousands of years ago!
